E14 - Morpheus (ft Byrren Yates)
In this fascinating interview, Rich and Jonathan sit down with Byrren Yates, a Vedic meditation practitioner. We explore Byrren's journey from evangelical Christian to nihilistic, to human being. He shares his experience of being abandoned by his parents and living in an orphanage, where he discovered a fundamentalist Christian faith. He lived a safe and moral life until his world came crumbling down when he went through a divorce. As depression took over, he began to reevaluate everything and discovered Vedic meditation. This process helped him separate himself from his depression and begin to rebuild. He explores how meditation allowed him to even experience bliss on a regular basis. If you struggle with depression, this episode will give you hope and a belief that overcoming depression is possible. It will give you the tools to begin the process of believing again.
