Pete's radical change continues to inspire and impact thousands nationwide. The Pete Coleman Method (5:15)Pete shares the financial growth he was able to help his first Christian Brothers Automotive location experience in a short amount of time, and shares the impact that his method had from a growth and development standpoint.Life isn’t what happens to you; it’s how you react (10:08)If you can’t stick to a process, you’re going to just spin your wheels. Pete talks about the ‘special sauce’ that so many people have asked him for over the years. The reality is that attitude and effort play a critical factor, and surrounding yourself with an incredible TEAM of people is all part of the recipe.“I spent a long time lying to the guy in the mirror” (13:33)Pete opens up about his weight loss journey. At his heaviest, he weighed in at 575 lbs. After gastric surgery, Pete put his work ethic to the test and applied himself to eventually lose over 300 lbs in just over a year. He went in for a routine surgery to repair a belly button hernia he had for years but was unable to get it taken care of because of his weight.“There’s a strong chance you don’t wake up” (19:14)That same night, he began experiencing a setback and found himself back in a hospital room after internal blood loss (4.5 liters) and a blood pressure of 33 over nothing. He sensed the urgency of the situation, and then it got incredibly real. The doctor gave Pete the phone, told him it was his wife, and told him to say his goodbyes.Gratitude (21:26)God spared Pete for a reason. Pete questioned why for a long time, but chose to live everyday moving forward to make an impact and leave people and things better. He opens up about his desire to help and leave a legacy.“Thank God I can talk about God” (22:55)Pete shares his gratitude to be alive, to have a second chance at life, and to work in a brand whose mission is to further God’s kingdom.“It’s going to pass” (30:41)We don’t know what the final chapter looks like, but God does. Control the controllables. If I can influence the outcome, focus on that. Lean on people. Seek counsel, gain wisdom, don’t isolate yourself, and turn to God.Have a great day, everyone. Don’t forget to smile today. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. I’m Josh Parnell, reminding you to keep leading well.
