From the first tensions of Pelagius and St. Augustine back in the fifth century to the debates of the Remonstrance at Dort in the 17th century, to the present-day ongoing discussion between Arminian Wesleyans and Methodist, and reformed Presbyterians and Baptists; the debate has raged on.
