Ep 27 - Hope for the hopeless with Jamie Blanco
Jamie is the author of 'Hope for the Hopeless' book. About the book: Jimmy Blanco was one of the longest living survivors of the world’s deadliest brain cancer and he defied the odds without traditional medicine. In 1995, he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme grade IV and given less than four months to live. Given no hope of survival, Jimmy rejected chemotherapy and radiation and the doctor's death sentence for him. He self-treated with natural medicine, radically altered his diet, practiced visualization and other mental focus techniques, and had a healthy faith in God. He fought EIGHT incredible years against the tumor and many doctors have called Jimmy’s story a miracle. He began writing a book about his journey but sadly did not finish it. Fifteen years after his death, his widow, Elizabeth, found the unfinished book he’d been writing and gave it to their daughter, Jamie. Now as an adult and award-winning journalist, Jamie knew what she had to do—complete her father’s work. She has investigated the biggest factors that contributed to her father’s miraculous remission and done a deep dive into the latest brain cancer research, both the great and the lacking. In this episode Jen and Jamie discuss - Jamie speaks openly about her father’s experience being diagnosed with glioblastoma in 1995, the prognosis he was given, how he received the news and how ultimately the diagnosis changed his life - Jamie’s father used the power of mindfulness, meditation, hypnosis and his connection with God to empower himself, his body and his immune system - He was originally given 3 months live which he rejected as his truth, and lived 8 incredible years with no mainstream medical treatment, radiation or chemotherapy - How he had started writing a book documenting his journey and all the things he was doing to support his health through the diagnosis that Jamie went on to publish - The healing power of shark cartilage and flowers- Jen shares her experience with unravelling religious teachings and her relationship with God and the recent teachings she’s learned through Neville Goddard - Plus so much more To get a copy of the book, head to www.hopeforthehopelessbook.com.
