Episode 130: Dr. Ryan Neuhofel of NeuCare - Lawrence, KS<br/><br/>Dr. Ryan Neuhofel is a board-certified family physician. He was born, raised, and (mostly) educated in Kansas. He received a B.S. in Biology from Friend's University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Kansas prior to medical school at Kansas City University (DO). He completed his Family Medicine residency training at KU-Med where he served as Chief Resident.Shortly after finishing training, he founded NeuCare in 2011. He now lives in Lawrence with his wife, 4 kids, and 1 Labrador Retriever. When not cleaning up after his children or dog, he enjoys cooking, fine ales, and the great outdoors.<br/><br/>In this podcast episode, Dr. Newh Huff discusses his journey in opening a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice back in 2011. He reflects on his decision to pursue a non-fee-for-service model and the challenges he faced at the time.
