Episode 153: Asteroid City

The latest release from the beautifully bonkers mind of Wes Anderson is classic Wes Anderson. From excellent cinematography and symmetry on screen, to visually pleasing aesthetics and a huge cast, it ticks a lot of boxes. However, for me the film didn’t have the same flare as some of his previous work. There’s some grand performances from Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson and Maya Hawke, but the film itself falls a little flat and at times sucks you out of the picture with its structure.Full thoughts in this episode, including a very special guest appearance!
