I was in the last year of my doctoral program and hoping to solidify and clarify my next steps by choosing some internship opportunities most aligned with my desires. Bobby had already deployed and served in a number of roles and was the most genuine person I spoke to during the entire conference. He didn't sugarcoat the truth but gave me confidence in the rewards of service in the military. That was the beginning of a career I've been beyond blessed to journey through.
