A special treat for you on the show today as we sit down with one of the most familiar faces and voices in Australian Olympic broadcasting Basil Zempilas to learn about his extraordinary media career and his memories and experiences the Olympics have brought him! We find out from Basil some of his favourite moments he has called at the Olympics and just what it was like to have followed in the footsteps in fellow broadcast icons Bruce McAvaney, Sandy Roberts & Dennis Cometti. We also go over that historic call of his from Salt Lake City in 2002 in which he was the voice behind Steven Bradbury's iconic gold and what that means to him more than 20 years later. Added to this we find out about some of his other favourite calls, just why he was so happy to be able to use the word "gobbledygook" during the Tokyo Olympics and whether or not he might've found a fitting replacement for him on this very show for when the day comes for him to retire. It's an epic chat that you will also go gobbledygook for so tune in and get pumped!
