Episode 4: The Sculptural Trail's Segment on the Iliad and the Odyssey

The Iliad and the Odyssey illustrate the resolution of the conflict between matriarchy and patriarchy shifting power to the children of the family; they are creating the institutions of conflict resolution of the Greek civilization. Among them are the theatrical exercises leading to catharsis or emotional cleansing, the institution of the Olympic Games, struggles are resolved following certain rules with yearly celebration of conflict resolution, establishing rules for political justice with the principles of democracy, developing philosophy and science for better understanding of the nature of wisdom.
