Sada Abe was a Japanese woman who became best known for not only killing her lover in 1936 via erotic asphyxiation, but for slicing off his genitals and then carrying them around with her in her kimono, wherever she went, until she was caught. Her story was a national sensation in Japan and she became somewhat of a myth. While she was a wanted woman, the public fear of her caused several stampedes and traffic jams.
