Episode 8 - My Mum
Trigger warning: Eating Disorders I sit down for what turned into a candid chat with my mum, and neither of us knew what to expect. Besides me asking some highly inappropriate questions that no parent ever wants to be asked, I also wanted to openly discuss what it was like raising a teenager with an Eating Disorder. Mum and I discuss the impact that had/has on a family dynamic, navigating the emotions and trauma of teenage years, and what advice she would offer other families going through the same. My mother is an absolute queen, her understanding nature and outlook on life is inspiring and has heavily contributed to the values I hold today. It’s not every day you get to sit down and record a conversation with a parent, let alone one that turned into a therapy session! Your support, shares, views & listens mean the world. Enjoy!
