Episode 91: Shane Mensforth and James Flack
Episode 91: Shane Mensforth and James Flack

This week we are joined by 2 great names in SA Fishing in a special double guest episode.

Shane is the man behind SA Angler, he is a great fisherman himself, and also has a great knowledge and feel for all of the big issues in fishing in this state. He gives us a bit of a behind the scenes look at his recent trip off Marion Bay, fishing and filming with Paul Worsteling from IFish. We also talk about Sailfish in Malaysia, giant Salmon in Alaska and barrel Tuna in the South East, plus he gives us some feedback on our own contributions to SA Angler over recent years.

We are also joined by Flacky from Troll So Hard Lures as a part of the fishing report, to discuss his recent trip to Port MacDonnell, which included a massive 134kg Southern Bluefin Tuna. He tells a great story about the catch and the trip, updates us on how the season is firing down there and how his own lures are going on the barrels.

As always, we have all the latest SA fishing news, including:

· Yabby Net Swap on National Gone Fishing Day at Happy Valley (October 8)

· Lake Bonney carp wash up dead at Lake Bonney

· An update on the petition to stop a wind farm off the coast of Port Mac

· RecFish request upgrades to the Wirrina boat ramp

We also chat about the September Squid Comp thanks to Shimano which only has a week left to run and feature the Shimano Sustain 3000 as our tackle item of the week, after Rohdey caught a couple of kidney slapper whiting on it recently!
