Episode Fifty-Two: Native American Heritage Month
Hello! It is that time of year again where we show our appreciation for Native Authors! Liza and Riss always find Native Authors who write BANGING books! We encourage our Sleepy Readers to do the same, not just this month but EVERY MONTH!!!Riss opens the episode with an Older Children's book (not exactly YA), called The Legend of the Skeleton Man by Joseph Bruchac. Liza read a much newer book that you might have seen in a TikTok video or two, it is called Night of the Living Rez by Morgan Talty. Here are two lists we encourage you to browse for some new reads! Also we suggest going to your local bookstore or library and asking about not only their selection of fiction books by Native authors, but also their selection of nonfiction books, specifically ones that relate to your own area! It could be fun to learn some history you never knew about the place you call home.https://reedsy.com/discovery/b....log/native-american-
