ERRR #082. Kelly Tatlock on Creating Knowledgeable and Independent Learners
Ollie Lovell · ERRR082. Kelly Tatlock on Creating Knowledgable and Independent Learners Kelly Tatlock is an Assistant Headteacher in charge of Teaching and Learning at Beckfoot School – a large comprehensive secondary school in Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. She has spent the last 7 years primarily focused on building the pedagogical systems that underpin excellent classroom practice, such as marking and feedback, independent learning and homework, revision, and knowledge organisers. During this time, Kelly has led the development of a ‘Knowledgeable and Expert Learners' Framework within her school, and has begun to share this work with others across the UK and beyond. In this episode we focus on this framework, with Kelly providing phenomenal and practical advice on how to help students to become more effective learners, and sharing insights on how to create a whole-school approach to achieving this goal!
