European and US equity markets diverge

Investor sentiment in Europe took a hit yesterday as concerns around interest rates staying higher for longer and renewed fears in the Chinese economy continued to daze markets. In the US, however, equities managed to snap their four-day losing streaks, shrugging off moves in the bond market.
