Excellent Counsel

In the Word of God, men and women of God had two excellent sources of counsel - the Word of God and direct revelation from God. They did not always remember that the Word was available (as Christians today many times) and their access to God was limited as the Messiah had not come yet to redeem mankind. Today we have the Word of God written and easily accessible - and yet many times people fail to consult this source of excellent counsel. Additionally, with all that has been accomplished by Jesus Christ and his ongoing ministry, we have direct access to the One True God by way of holy spirit - counsel for those situations not covered by the Word of God. It is our responsibility and privilege to grow in our understanding and appreciation of the Word of God. Likewise, it is vital for us to better understand how to receive the counsel directly from God - to grow in our ability to operate the manifestations of holy spirit. We are so greatly blessed to have such wonderful access to excellent counsel.
