JP Craft Captain, illustrator, art director, professional crafter and reverend, joins Sarah and Robin to talk all things queer weddings. We talk about what makes for an awesome wedding, and the life affirming power of a couple coming together and sharing their love with their loved ones through the ceremony of a wedding. JP has officiated dozens of queer weddings, art weddings, quirky weddings, and sees it as her service to the community. JP has witnessed countless nuptuals, and in some cases the dissolution of these partnerships, and has gone through a painful rebirth through her own divorce. We talk about the deeply destabilizing effects of divorce and how to overcome the feelings of shame or isolation that often accompany it and JP's journey of a daily art practice that got her out of her darkest days.
