Festus

The corrupt Roman governor, Felix, was recalled to Rome after failing to secure a bribe from Paul. Festus, a more competent person, has taken his place. Chapters 25 and 26 of the book of Acts record the greatest defense and propagation of Christianity in all Scripture. Paul, chained and in prison clothes, stands before the power of Rome and the pomp of false religion, and delivers an impassioned presentation of the Gospel.
