A Kauai murder suspect on the run for nearly two weeks was arrested late Sunday following an intense islandwide manhunt that ended with officers opening fire on him. Kauai police said Chris Santos was taken to a hospital following the melee. Santos has been wanted since Sept. 8 for allegedly killing 28-year-old Kith Silva-Lacro, of Kalaheo, on Kahili Mountain Road.
