Free from Shackles - Man with Energy
Satyam, Journalist with Press Trust of India is a young man living with type 1 diabetes from the past 14 years now. He was diagnosed when he was 6-7 years old and credits his doctor, Dr Anurag Bajpai for all the support in making him understand his condition. Satyam shares his success when he secured 93% in his board examination and topped his school making everyone proud, with that he came to a realisation that a little extra effort to manage the daily blood glucose is what is needed and that he shouldn’t think of quitting his dream job because of living with diabetes. Look today! Satyam got involved with dedication in VIPASNA form of meditation, where one is kept away from the outside world, no phones, no gadgets for a period of time. This not only helped him with his stress management but also improved his insulin sensitivity leading to just 5 units of insulin in a day. Satyam encourages everyone to get themselves involved in some sort of meditation.
