Galatians (part 5) - Deconstruction Zone (Robert Conn)
Deconstruction is a natural step in the process of maturity but it certainly is not the final step, or even the goal. All too often (due to external and internal factors) people get stuck in deconstruction and fail to live comfortably in the tension that is the human condition. Sadly, the Church isn't great at dealing with deconstruction and people get hurt. Galatians 4:8-20 helps us see a better way to navigate our doubts, fears, and questions.

Part 8 - Deconstruction Zone (Galatians 4:8-20; John 14:1)

Good Deconstruction:Examples: Old Testament prophets / early Christian martyrs / church reformers / JesusDefinition: Where Jesus (and others) use SCRIPTURE to critique the world’s corruption of the CHURCH. Bad Deconstruction: Example: Modern Western "Church-ianity"Definition: Where some use the WORLD to critique Scripture’s AUTHORITY over the church. The first type is the way of Jesus...the second type is not. Deconstruction is the intersection of 3 External factors and 3 Internal Factors.

External Factors include: LOW Discipleship Culture Secular Ideologies Breakdown of TRUST in Spiritual Leaders Internal Factors include:Lack of FEAR of God Digital Inputs & Low Scripture Wounded HEART
From Deconstruction to ReconstructionExternally: Focus on Discipleship Push back against Secular Ideologies Rebuild Trust in Spiritual Leaders Internally: Learn to Fear of God Get into that Word Heal your HeartNeed Prayer?
