Given a church of 4,000 pastors, the story of 21C International with Leanne White | E3
One morning in 2019, Steve White woke up to find a handful of Facebook friend requests from international pastors. Within a few days, he would receive 4,000 of these friend requests. In this episode, On the Move producer talks with Leanne White, co-founder of 21C International. As Steve's wife, Leanne remembers those few days clearly. Only of a couple of years earlier, she had felt like training pastors around the world was God's calling on her life, and perhaps the next steps in their ministry as a married couple. As friend requests from pastors streamed in, Steve's brother asked the question that sparked the idea for 21C International: "Well Steve, it looks like God has given you a church of 4,000 pastors. What are you going to do with it?"Key points from this episode:
- Leanne became passionate about training pastors around the world after unexpectedly joining a trip to Haiti
- An influx of 4,000 Facebook friends, comprised entirely of international pastors, leads to the formation of 21C International
- Our first calling is to love God and love our neighbors; you don't have to go to Haiti to fill the Great Commission.21C International is a Christian, non-profit ministry created to encourage, equip, and empower Christian church leaders in the global south.
