Anna Maria Rollin talks to David Wilkinson and Karan Verma, who bring perspectives from different ends of the age spectrum, in this podcast recorded for the 75th anniversary of the creation of the National Health Service. Anna Maria, David and Karan discuss how the creation of the NHS changed anaesthesia, how the practice has developed in the decades since, and where the health service might be on its 80th, 90th and 100th anniversaries.
This is the third episode in a series of podcasts devised by the RCoA Heritage Committee to look at the history of the College and the history of anaesthesia. The series is chaired by Dr Anna Maria Rollin.
