Hindu radicals burning churches & assaulting pastors in Nepal; if CA parents don’t affirm transgenderism, they could be denied custody; Albuquerque law enforcement refuses to enforce gun ban
It’s Tuesday, September 12th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at [a]www.TheWorldview.com.[/a] I’m Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Hindu radicals burning churches & assaulting pastors in Nepal Following in the pattern of India, spiritual opposition is rising against the Christian churches in Nepal in the form of church burnings and assaults on pastors. A radical Hindu priest set fire to a church in Dharan, arguing that the church was too close to the Hindu temple across the road from it. Dharan, which has a high population of Christians, has become a center of controversy over religion. Christian Pastor Reuben Rye asked for prayer about the current situation in Nepal. RYE: “I would like to request you to pray for the brothers and sisters in Nepal who are under the threat of persecution from the Hindu extremists in Nepal. They have been destroying the church, threatening Christians. So, we want to request your prayer for protection, for encouragement, and patience for all the Christians in Nepal. Please pray for us.” Mobs in Manipur, India confiscated weapons from police Meanwhile, the problem in Manipur, India has not been resolved. Anarchy is on the rise, and the potential of a Rwanda-type genocide is rising. Mobs have confiscated 4,000 weapons and 500,000 rounds of ammunition from police. Already, hundreds of churches have been burned down, 187 Christians killed, and 70,000 displaced in the ongoing violence. Global Christian Relief is in the area, providing help for some of the displaced Christians from Manipur. Pastor Vicky was shot in the shoulder while riding on his motorcycle, and is currently under treatment at a local hospital. The attack comes after death threats and vandalism of his church building. Jesus told us in John 15:18-19 that “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet, because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” God sustained a
