Just feeling off or blah happens to us all. On that inevitable off day, perhaps the best gift we can give ourselves is to simply allow the feelings to come and go... Give ourselves room to breathe, to be human, to accept that this, too, is part of the human experience.Sometimes being in a funk just passes on its own. Something happens that changes how we feel or it’s blissfully time for bed and sleep makes it better. But because we all have days when we just aren’t at 100%, but still have to carry on through the day, I wanted to offer you ways to get out of a funk. I hope one or more of these stick with you and help the next time you face a down day.“This, too, will pass… Normal to have a few bad moments here and there–to feel off–and it’s not going to add up to a bad life.” – Dr. Sara DillWhat You’ll LearnHave compassionPractice acceptanceCarry onMove your bodyAvoid the 4 CsKeep perspectiveBe gratefulSpend timeCaring connectionSlow down
Contact Info and Recommended ResourcesPodcast Episodes that pair well with this one:Give Yourself the Gift of CoachingThe Power of “Maybe” and How to Use it to Reduce Any StressThe Gifts of GratitudeMini Thought Experiment (What if Today was Your Last Day?)
Connect with Sara Dill, MD, The Doctor’s CoachI’d love to work with you!
