I'm Not A Mogul, I Just Flip A Lot [w/ Welby Accely] | Ep 167
Welcome back to another episode of Decoding 40! The podcast is now picking up streams in the city that raised us--New York City! We're always grateful for the love that we get around the world, but there's nothing that beats hometown love!In this week's Check-In, L.O. loses his cell phone in an Uber and he with his wife go full bounty hunter trying to track it down. Vin goes out to the movies with the family and takes in the sodium-saturated cuisine of the Olive Garden. Alaric catches the latest cold from his sneeze-friendly son. Also, the guys also talk about Black Panther and Nas' latest studio release, King's Disease III, and a bunch of other cultural events lighting up the social sphere. This week our guest, Welby Accely, a first-generation, New York-born, Haitian American, Welby was always to some extent on his own as he figured out a path toward prosperity. To make it, he would have to determine his own route to bigger and better things. There was never any real mentorship early on and his life, but when Welby would visit his godfather in Long Island he realize the stark difference in location and lifestyle compared to where he grew up. Seeing that his godfather became successful via the real estate market, Welby clung to the idea that real estate investing was worth his passion and devotion. You do not want to miss this honest and open discussion about Welby's upbringing, his wins, and his losses.
