July 15 -- Albuquerque Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Gary Herron

The 2023 Class for the Albuquerque Professional Baseball Hall of Fame was inducted before the game on July 15. One of the inductees is Gary Herron, a longtime official scorekeeper, sports journalist and author of two books about baseball in Albuquerque. Herron shared what it meant to him to join the HOF, how he started as a scorekeeper, why he loves baseball so much, his books about local baseball and how that makes him the unofficial historian for New Mexico baseball. The Albuquerque Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
