Justin Ladia, Graphic Designer and Organizer of PechaKucha Winnipeg
Could you tell your story in 20 seconds? Hmmm…that doesn’t seem like a lot of time. But what if you had 400 seconds? Could you tell your story then?In episode 105, Genny spoke with Justin Ladia, organizer of PechaKucha Winnipeg, the Manitoba chapter organized by the Graphic Designers of Canada. Created in Japan in 2003, PechaKucha (pronounced pechakcha) is Japanese for “chit chat”. It’s a free online and offline global storytelling platform that celebrates people, passion and creative thought. Through a 20 x 20 presentation format, a slide show of 20 images auto advances after 20 seconds in a non-stop presentation of 400 seconds.A graphic designer with Tetro Design, a community organizer, a puzzle hunt hobbyist (and host of The Extraction – a podcast about puzzles), and one of the organizers of Ai-Kon, Winnipeg’s largest anime convention, Justin has organized PechaKucia since 2017. He started out by doing one of his own presentations and loved it so much that he wanted to become more involved.Genny will be presenting at the next installment of PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 47 that will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 7 pm at the Park Theatre Winnipeg. She’ll be sharing her story of Coffee with Genny B!https://www.pechakucha.com/communities/winnipeghttps://www.instagram.com/jrladia/https://www.instagram.com/pkn_winnipeg/ Follow Genny on Instagram at @coffeewithgennybIf you like this episode, buy Genny a coffee at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/coffeewithgennySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
