Katie Mahoney / Sarah Laturnus / Anne Brodie / Erica Ehm / Care to Know - Dr. Christine Palmay / Ange Chew
My first guest today is Katie Mahoney, co-founder of an inspiring charitable organization, We Are Young. Katie and partner Cara Chisholm work tirelessly to grant unfulfilled wishes to seniors, changing societal perception on aging, and bridging gaps between generations in a beautiful way.
Then we're talking staycations with Sarah Laturnus from Ottawa Tourism. As a fellow Ottawa native, I'm excited to dig into the endless possibilities of what our city has to offer, and why Ottawa is so much more than just a political hub.
After that, we have Anne Brodie giving us the lowdown on one of the wildest weeks in entertainment we've seen, from a major writers' and actors’ strike that has early signs to be a long drawn out one, to the launch of two anticipated summer blockbusters, Oppenheimer and Barbie.
We're then going on a nostalgia trip with Erica Ehm, talking about the birth of MuchMusic and its impact on our generation. Erica was at the heart of it all and will be discussing the new documentary "299 Queen St. W".
We're then shifting gears to a serious topic that affects millions of Canadians - diabetes. Dr. Christine Palmay is here to discuss the latest developments in managing this condition, specifically GLP-1 Receptor Agonists.
Finally, we're wrapping up with another trip, this time to Surrey BC. Ange Chew from Discover Surrey is joining us to share all the local gems that make Surrey a must-visit destination.
