Underdog Crew Studios CIC is an innovative filmmaking and creative arts studio that is set to open in Colchester in the summer of 2023. His vision for the studio is to provide a platform for underrepresented and minority groups in the world of filmmaking. Over the past 15 years, Underdog Crew Studios has produced several short films and two feature films, receiving numerous awards at international film festivals. Now, they are unveiling the next phase of their strategic vision.The studio aims to address the problem of the lack of opportunities and support for disadvantaged young people in the area. Colchester has a high proportion of young people, many of whom face challenges such as living in poverty, experiencing mental health issues, and being young carers.Underdog Crew Studios seeks to provide a safe space for young people to foster inclusivity, self- worth, and ambition while using the power of professional film to promote positivity and wellbeing. They will provide free technical and employability skills training led by practicing young industry professionals.Underdog Crew Studios has a compelling vision for creating social impact and empowering young people through filmmaking and creative arts.
