‘Transgender Australia: A History since 1910’ with Noah Risen
Noah Riseman is Professor of History specialising in Australian histories of sexuality, gender and race. He has written or co-author of five books, and his latest’s one comes out this week. Transgender Australia: A History since 1910, is the very first book that tracks Australian trans history and explores the lives and impacts of our gender-diverse people. It’s an in-depth detailed history lesson that doesn’t overwhelm you as you read it, providing an overview of how trans identities have evolved over the past century. Noah joined Dean & Dave on JOY Breakfast ahead of the books launch to deep dive into ‘Transgender Australia: A History since 1910’ and honestly, we could have spoken for two hours or more – this is going to be a great read. You’ll be able to grab a copy at all good book stores, or just click this link and dive into our Trans Aussie history.
