MATRESCENCE MOMENTS | RETROSPECTIVE | EP. #117 | WITH DAMIAN WATERS| NOV 2019
This is an exciting time. We’re having conversations about what it means to be a woman, a mother, an equal, all over the world. New barriers are being broken. It’s revolutionary. But as we change the conversation around motherhood, I am often asked ‘What about the dads?’ And my answer is usually - yes, there are big changes for men when they become Dads, but that’s not my passion. Someone else can pick that up and run with it. And I hope they do.Well, mamas… I’ve found him.Damian Waters, or Muddy as he is known to almost everyone, is the man behind The Wingman Collective. And as I began to read his insights into being a wingman to his amazing wife, I saw something that is very very rare - but very very exciting. Here was a man who recognized the ‘old system’ that he had been brought up in. And here was a man who was willing to work on himself and those old beliefs, and make some significant changes in order to let his wife rise too. This interview is profound.Damian was nervous - this was his first-ever podcast - but I think that makes it even more important. It’s not a polished self-development dude just sharing another anecdote from the stage. This is a Dad, in the trenches with his kids and his career, seeing that his wife was very lost and needing to find something for herself again. He saw her struggles and realized he had a part to play in it.And so he looked within and found that it was time for him to let her shine.I hope you love this episode as much as I do.Both Damian and I hope that you can share it with your partners, and start a new conversation about how you support each other.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------WATCH THE FULL EPISODE ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL, RIGHT HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?....v=TsPq53ZFFWI------- visit my website: https://www.amytaylorkabbaz.com and: https://mamarising.net/ to submit questions for Mama Q, our new Q&A podcast session, where we answer your questions regarding Matrescence and motherhood------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW...-How motherhood changes your core identity-What the 'Inner Split' is, and how to come to terms with this change within you-How to stop being torn between all the roles you have to play-How to see yourself, your body, and all your relationships differently-How to stop being so hard on yourself and, in turn, stop being so resentful towards your loved onesThen register for a set of live coaching calls with me, Amy Taylor Kabbaz.HAVE THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN AMY AND HUNDREDS OF OTHERS TO ASK QUESTIONS, LISTEN, HEAL AND RISE TOGETHER.CLICK the LINK to find out more:https://www.amytaylorkabbaz.com/tboy/-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Within these conversations, we change the way mothers are valued and seen in our society and spread the whispers of Matrescence together.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[Time Stamps]0:00 - Acknowledgements0:40 - Intro2:05 - Honoring Your Woman's Turn3:06 - Role Assumptions4:43 - Nothing else to give5:18 - An Inner Entrepreneur7:07 - Redefine Identity8:14 - My Subconscious Want9:01 - Unconscious Programming10:20 - Electrifying11:21 - An Epiphany12:14 - Discuss Desires13:05 - Outro
