Mediating High Value Injury Cases and Playing Music in a Band with Mediator/Drummer Joe Murphy, Singer/Songwriter Harvey Glickson and my Dad/Guitarist Stanley Stein
In this episode we combine law, mediation and music. Joining us is Atlanta Mediator Joe Murphy. Joe is a certified mediator at Miles Mediation who has mediated over 3500 cases in his career. He talks about his path from defense lawyer to mediator and why mediating cases is such a helpful tool for litigants. He talks about his approach to mediating a case and how he connects with the parties. We learn how attorneys should approach cases to set them up for a successful mediation. We then transition to Joe’s love of music and how he ended up with always having a harmonica in his pocket. Joe plays music with Harvey Glickson who just so happens to also be a lifelong friend of my dad, Stanley Stein. Harvey and my dad have been playing music together since they were kids and have been in bands together as adults. So, the three of them plus their friend Mike got together and recorded two songs for this podcast. We learn about their individual approaches to music, how they write songs and how much they love being in bands. Finally, we get to hear the two songs they played together. What a fun episode. As always, this podcast is powered by the J. Stein Law Firm – a personal injury law firm in Atlanta, GA. You can find the firm at www.jsteinlawfirm.com.
