According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, "573,811 people in Montana live in a community that does not have enough mental health professionals". On today's episode of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Under the Big Sky, Coy Wickens and Alexa Huber take a look at the current state of mental health awareness in Montana and the issue of mental health facilities throughout the state. Their "Mentally Montana Chat" provides information upon mental health as a whole, courtesy of Mrs. Laura Thum of MSU's Counseling and Psychological Services, and an anonymous patient's difficult experience learning of her mental illness while in a Montana school.
