MOD XLVI
MOD episodes have no shelf-life or expiration date. Since our focus is principled and always happening now - each episode always reflects the fluid motion and immediacy of current events. Knowing we have an Absolute Source that is sound, stable, and ever presently available does not mean our thinking is straight or well even as this basis provides the chance to see what we are thinking clearly.

Addiction is a lie - a mental illness - attempting to use every defensive, deceptive tactic to maneuver away from facing what we’re doing. To think things happen to us is to think we have nothing to do with what is happening. This line of irrational thought claims that if we have nothing to do with what is happening there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop. Since lies lie, this is a lie masquerading as truth.

We cannot have our own truth but we can say the thoughts we have that we rely on are our own truth. If we can think what is happening can't or shouldn't be happening it is a good indication that we think thoughts are the creator of reality and truth. To think we can avoid truth is to think thoughts can void truth. Our basis is intact and unmoved by any commotion we create. If nature is responsible for nature then we as products of nature are responsible. This does not mean we cannot think and act irresponsibly - since we are free to think and act any way we want. What this does mean is that when we think and act irresponsibly we have to do what we‘re doing whether we like the consequences or not. Thinking is something we do. We cannot be what we do. We are the doer, not the things we do. We are the director of thought, not the thought we direct. We are the knowing observer of what is happening or we wouldn’t so clearly and regularly be aware that something is wrong. When we look we see. When we look through the lens of thought we see only what we think. To think of what we see in this way as reality is how delusion is created by taking illusions seriously enough to be thought of as anything other than illusions.

We appreciate that you're listening and you are also welcome to attend our live discussion occurring all but the last Sunday of each month from 9 - 11 am + Pacific Standard Time.

contact@mentalobsession.com
