Mom Sued for Questioning School
Nicole Solas wanted to know what her five-year-old daughter's school was teaching. So many parents have seen the headlines about critical race theory, comprehensive sex ed in kindergarten, and other dangerous trends in modern education. The school refused to answer Solas's questions. When she filed public information requests, administrators continued to ignore her questions. After dozens of requests, the school could no longer ignore her, and the teachers' union targeted Solas with a secret meeting and a lawsuit. Thankfully, Solas has a law degree and she has not been intimidated by the most powerful teachers' union in the country. For other parents, the unions simply threaten to sue and parents are effectively silenced. If the past few years have taught us anything, it is that we need to know what is happening in our school classrooms. Solas shares her experience so that other parents know what their rights are and what they are up against.
