Welcome to today’s case file, “Murder in Modesto: Who were Scott and Laci Peterson?INTRODUCTIONWelcome, fellow true-crime enthusiasts, to today’s case file: “Murder in Modesto – Who Was Laci and Scott Peterson – This is part 2 of a 6-part series that will take a deep dive into the murders of Laci Peterson and her unborn child, Connor Peterson; and the first-degree murder trial of Scott Peterson. Who is Laci PetersonLaci Denise Rocha was born on a Sunday, May 4th, 1975, to Dennis Robert Rocha, and her mother, Sharon Ruth Anderson, who had been high school sweethearts.  The Rocha’s had inherited a Dairy Farm from Dennis’ family in Escalon, CA, where the couple raised their two children, Brent Rocha, who was three years senior to Laci, and Laci.  Laci loved spending time working and playing on the family’s farm and loved spending time with her mother gardening and planting flowers.  This may be where she developed a love for nature, plants, and horticulture.   Sometime in 1976, Sharon and Dennis, who had been together since high school, were experiencing some marital challenges and made the decision to divorce.  Sharon moved Brent who was four, and Laci who would have been just shy of two years old off the Milk Farm and to Modest, 10-miles south of Escalon.  The kids would live in Modesto with Sharon but would travel every weekend to the Milk Farm to spend time with their father. When Laci was two years old, Sharon would begin a long-term relationship with Ron Grantski, bringing Ron’s son, Darrin Frank Grantski, into the relati
