Nick Reed PODCAST 06.30.23 - Affirmative Action, Biden Shuffles Off During Interview, and MORE.
Hour 1 - Nick Reed is live at Scramblers Diner for the Friday Road Show. Here's what he covers: We have a Heroes Breakfast! From 6-9a, Veterans get the breakfast special for FREE! The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Thursday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. President Biden awkwardly stood up and shuffled off the set of his MSNBC interview yesterday. NYC Mayor Eric Adams yelled at an elderly woman earlier this week. Mr. Adams said, "I’m the mayor of this city and treat me with the respect that would deserve to be treated. I’m speaking to you as an adult. Don’t stand in front like you treated someone that’s on the plantation that you own." The woman, 84-year-old Jeanie Dubnau, was born in Belgium shortly after her parents fled the terrors of the Nazi regime in Germany. After hiding out in Belgium and France throughout World War II, she and her parents emigrated to New York City when she was 8 years old and has resided in NYC ever since. ALSO - Steve Makoski joins the program this morning: The Springfield Chapter NAACP has condemned comments made by SPS board member Makoski. Steve talks about the comments that he made and gives a little back story to the issue at hand.
