On The Road Again
In this week’s program we pay tribute to Jimmy Buffet and play his signature song Margaritaville. The theme is all about being on the road featuring Willie Nelson with the signature song On The Road Again. Many of the songs have a country flavour like Roger Miller’s King Of The Road and Dave Dudley’s Six Days On the Road and Billy Grammer’s catchy Gotta Travel On. There is a poignancy about The Beatle’s The Long And Winding Road written by Paul McCartney and released one month after the break up of the Beatles. The Aussie contribution this week is Little River Band’s It’s A Long Way There.
