Outdoors. Brews, & BBQ - An exploration of some Spanish beers and some Home Brew, and a new SOS.
Apple Emergency SOS
Just lunched yesterday day 11/18 Beers
1906 Reserva Especial
This beer is made from carefully selected malts and hops of the aromatic Perle Hallertau variety, providing a good balance of aroma and bitterness. Its dark amber colour and pleasant roasted notes come from a generous use of roasted malts.
The head is abundant and creamy, retained throughout drinking and leaving a characteristic “Belgian lace”. The sensation of alcohol in the mouth is mild and warm, without the roughness usually found in beers of the same alcohol content.
AROMAA mixture of hops and malt, with a dominant clean aroma of toasted malt, straightforward and intense.
APPEARANCEBeautiful dark amber colour. Clean and bright, maintaining its abundant thick foam during consumption.
TASTEThick, dense and round. It has an elegant bitter touch that melts in the mouth. Aftertaste is long and pleasant.
ALCOHOL CONTENT6.5%IDEAL TEMPERATURE5ºC.
1906 Black CoupageThe 1906 Black Coupage is a strong black lager that has prominent notes of coffee, baker’s chocolate and liquorice from the “coupage” of four roasted malts. Made using A Coruña’s city water, a coupage of four traditionally floor malted Czech barley malts, and Nugget and Sladek hops and Hijos de Rivera’s own yeast strain.
Our award winning Dunkel Bock stands out from the rest of the pack for its personality and rebellious spirit, resulting in its unique position as the black beer of the Rivera portfolio.
AROMARoasted aromas reminiscent of malts and coffee.
