Overcoming Anger
Is it possible to do away with anger? To overcome it? I actually think it is possible. I have known people in my life, namely my grandfather, who did not express his anger. That doesn’t mean that he didn’t feel it sometimes. We all feel anger sometimes-it is an emotion. When I feel anger it feels RED, even hot in my chest. When I feel anger it feels heavy through my shoulders and my palms get sweaty. I think I feel angry because my kid lied to me. I think I feel angry because my the guy in the big blue truck cut me off downtown. I think I feel angry because someone said words to me that I didn't agree with. Newsflash-We know that emotions in our body are caused by thoughts in our brain. So that anger you are feeling? It's coming from you.
