Postures for a Christ-Centered Life: Mirroring Each Other’s Goodness, with Rev. Dr. Steven Koski.
Postures for a Christ-Centered Life: Mirroring Each Other’s Goodness, with Rev. Dr. Steven Koski. Series: Practices for a Jesus-Shaped Life A Spacious Christianity, First Presbyterian Church of Bend, Oregon. Scripture: Psalm 46.10; Romans 8.37-39.How we might let go of shame and find peace in God’s unconditional love and acceptance of our goodness and worthiness.About the Series, Practices for a Jesus-Shaped Life: Our mission statement is to “Live the Spacious and Radical Love of Jesus so that All might Flourish.” How can we together grow more deeply with Jesus at the center of our lives committed to live the spacious and radical love of Jesus? We live centered in ourselves with a little bit of Jesus sprinkled on top. How might our lives and our world be different if we centered ourselves in the Jesus story and lived Jesus-shaped lives? Our fall sermon series will focus on practices of a Jesus-shaped life. For centuries, people of faith have shaped their lives around rhythms and disciplines for following Jesus together. This fall we will invite a shared commitment to practices that will help us live the spacious and radical love of Jesus and have the power to transform our lives and the world. Join us each Sunday, 10AM at bendfp.org, or 11AM KTVZ-CW Channel 612/12 in Bend. We want to be a place where our diversity brings us together and where conversation takes us all deeper in our understanding of God.We call this kind of faith “Spacious Christianity.” We don’t ask anyone to sign creeds or statements of belief. The life of faith is about a way of being in the world and a faith that shows itself in love.Thank you for your support of the mission of the First Presbyterian Church of Bend.
