Pure in Heart
Pure in HeartGod’s desire is that we live with a pure heart. Someone with a pure heart has a single-minded devotion to God that will bring peace with God and positively direct the person’s thoughts, feelings, and actions towards the will of God. A pure heart will result in living an honest and transparent life before God and others. --- Many people desire to live a blessed life. What if God’s idea of the blessed life is totally different from the life you seek? In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches about kingdom values that lead to happiness. When we choose to live and be shaped according to God’s kingdom values, we can surely experience the blessed life God promised us. Matthew 5:8 ESV8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. • • •Sermon Points:Pursue PuritySee God Clearly • • •Application:God is more concerned with our inward character than our outward conduct, our attitudes more than our actions. Proverbs 4:23 says, “above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
