Quinn Ewers and Sark's Offense Didn't hold up their end of the Bargain against the TCU Horned Frogs
Going into Saturday, The Texas Longhorns had every opportunity to beat TCU at home and control their own destiny en route to the Big 12 Championship Game. College Gameday was in attendance, Arch Manning was in attendance as well as the creme de la creme of class of 2023 recruits. 100,000 fans loud and proud at DKR under the lights. Steve Sarkisian with a chance to get his first signature win as the University of Texas head coach and Quinn Ewers a chance to end his slump delivering the ball to playmakers such as Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy. When the smoke cleared, this Texas offense scored three points in a head scratching effort that once again ended with Texas on the losing end of a game they likely should have won. In the two biggest games of the year, Texas has been at home and their defense has allowed 20 points to Alabama and 17 points to the TCU Horned Frogs. Texas lost both of those games. With two games left to go in the season, it has become painfully obvious that the 2022 season has become a disappointment, like the 10-12 seasons before it. Yes, Texas is a very young team and there were to be some expected growing pains. But Texas has now gone out here atleast three times, (arguably four) and lost to teams they were clearly better than. Now for Texas, the likely scenario is watching a team you beat and a team you held to 17 points compete for a Big 12 Championship. But don't worry Longhorn fans, we got next year. Hook Em
