Reflections on Religion, Homosexuality, and in AA with William Pillow
DSNSB is excited to welcome William to the show! William bravely and courageously shared his journey from being raised Christian to being gay and an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous and how grateful he is for his journey leading up to this point.

I know there are others who have access to podcasts but are still suffering from addiction and William’s story of strength and hope may be the story they need to hear to go to their first AA meeting and start working on themselves.

PLEASE! Help us reach the ears of those still suffering by taking the following action:

Give us a 5-star review on Spotify

Give us a 5-star AND written review on Apple Podcasts

Subscribe to the YouTube channel

Some quick tips at the end of the show notes if your having trouble completing any of these steps!

William and I sit back to chirp about: (0:00) Growing up Gay in Mississippi (3:20) The gay scene in Austin, TX (8:50) Brothers Austin & Rob (19:14) What religion were you raised as? (27:22) Do you find the gym to be a meditative place? (29:37) Addiction (35:41) When did you know you were gay? (39:00) The weight of LGBT youth that are raised in religious homes (43:57) Did your drinking result in health issues? (1:18:34) How has your social circle changed since being in Alcoholics Anonymous? (1:22:56) Mental health topics William’s fired up about (1:27:36) Venturing into a comedy career Review Tips:

Spotify: The app reqruires that you “listen” to at least one episode before you can give 5 stars. All you have to do is start any episode you want and drag the circle at the bottom of the screen to the far right, fast forwarding through the episode. Now you should be able to leave five stars.

Apple podcasts: Go to DSNSB’s home page and scroll to the very bottom of the playlist and you'll see first a place that says “tap to rate” and scroll down just a tad more to “write a review”. Please make sure to complete both! It would light my internal fire to see what you write.

YouTube: If you don’t mind subscribing, all it will do is send you one push notification per week when an episode drops. Even if you listen on Spotify or Apple, there is a large audience that strictly watches podcast and it would mean the world to me for you to help us reach these folks.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at sitbackwithdavid@yahoo.com Support the showhttps://www.youtube.com/@David....sSaturdayNightSitBac
