Rescued from the Present Evil Age

This teaching discusses the topic that many times people are very involved in considering the issues and news stories of our times to the exclusion of the Word of God. By consuming an over abundance of information concerning the politics and state of the world, the believer can become just as jaded and negative as this present evil age in which we live. The world is no more evil today than it has always been and is not getting any worse than before - for it has always been an evil age. God’s direction is to commit our ways unto Him, to wait on Him and rejoice in His Word for despite the wicked ways of the times, He will always deliver us. By the work of Jesus Christ we have been rescued from his present evil age and as such, we ought to focus our efforts and allegiance on him and not on the things of this world.
