Review of the 4 Biggest Promises from the Current Government on Creative Arts
In the last few years, the Government had passed the Creative Arts Law, establishing a Creative Arts School and set in motion plans to inaugurate a fund for the sector but it seems having government’s full backing in the creative art space is fading into a fictional thought. No government of Ghana, for as long as I can remember, has paid full attention to the needs of the creative art sector and the ministry instituted to handle our affairs is more focused on Tourism. I stand boldly by the words that “When the total economic fortunes of the Creative Arts is developed properly, it will help the country to generate funds to undertake other developmental projects.” The ruling government of Ghana, The NPP, made a lot of promises for the Creative Arts industry during their campaign session in 2020. With less than 24 months to end of their tenure, Showbiz University sits down with entertainment critic, Koka to review the progress and implementation of some of the promises made.
