S02 E52 Gag On This Episode | A Music Junkies Podcast with Big Nick

Big Nick does everything.  Researches his episodes and came up with his Podcast name, Gag on This Podcast.  He's also on PlayFM radio.<br/><br/>Putting together his playlist was cool and it even brought him back to first grade.<br/><br/>Unleashing all his secrets of elementary school?  Big Nick said that music is the closest thing we get to a drug.  AMAZED by the memories that music brings back.<br/><br/>Big Nick was a closet SPICE GIRLS fan.  He wanted to lose his virginity to 2 BECOME 1.  Wasn't the way he wanted it to be.  He almost came putting the condom on.  And he didn't know the two holes were so close together.  Makes sense only being 16.  Most men wouldn't admit the horror of the first time.  Big Nick doesn't suggest staying with the person you lose your virginity to, particularly if they are toxic. :)<br/><br/>So AMAZED was what he lost his virginity to.  Not SPICE GIRLS.  And he didn't make it to the end of Amazed.<br/><br/>Straight up stoner as a kid.  Looked like SUGAR RAY.  Then with being on the radio, he became cool but still smoked a lot of weed.  How did he get into radio?  He just called in and asked to intern.<br/><br/>First concert?  CHRISTINA AGUILERA and BLACK EYED PEAS opened up for her.  Favorite concert?  GEORGE THROROGOOD.<br/><br/>THE TRAGIC TRUTH is that Big Nick liked his alcohol.  He was the same as a drunk and sometimes cried when he drank Tequila.  However, at one point it just got worse.  The day after Thanksgiving 2010 thinking he was going to drink until he died, he spoke to someone about it and then went to rehab.  That was FREEDOM for 30 days to clear his head.  It was not great.  Lots of angry people.   <br/><br/>Today?  No longer a CONNOISSEUR OF HALLUCINATIONS.  This comes from being bullied as a fat kid from kindergarten to grade 8, and then you drink to cover up that you are an alcoholic.  Big Nick shares that he didn't know how to have friends.  The sharing during his recovery made sense that he didn't feel alone.  What an amazing story many of us can relate to in a different way and the different ways we deal with this.  And Big Nick now Facebook stalks but then stops because he has PTSD to not hurt himself.<br/><br/>DAZED AND CONFUSED  was one of the things his Dad listened to.  His mom showed him WOODSTOCK.  His parents' tastes varied and his uncle that was into music.   He introduced him to YES.<br/><br/>I shared with Big Nick that I love the songs from my guests.  BRICK by BEN FOLDS FIVE is one of them.  Asked what it was about, Nick thought it was a love story, but it ended up about an abortion.<br/><br/>GAG ON THIS Podcast, Nick says he took a comedy class then went on to add his foursome, and it's to give awareness to local comedians and also helped him to increase his ability to do the editing and marketing.   Nick usually guests on when he sees them on TWITTER.  Researching the guest is important.  He shares that sometimes the people you think are the funniest are the worst guest, and sometimes it's the other way.  "Never meet your heroes".<br/> Stripper names?  Luscious.  He thought of himself as a female stripper with that one.  LOL<br/>What an amazingly fun Podcast.  You can find him anywhere @gagonthispodcast.<br/><br/>Watch the full episode on YouTube<br/><br/>Check out the Playlist on Spotify<br/><br/>Follow us Everywhere<br/><br/>Make sure to HIT that LIKE BUTTON and SUBSCRIBE to our Channel to be notified of new episodes!<br/><br/> Please share our page with your friends! New EP is out every MONDAY at 12 pm Rock onSupport the show
