Silver Screen Podcast - (Indiana Jones and the) Raiders of the Lost Ark Review
Episode 49 - "Indiana Jones. I always knew one day you'd come walking back through my door." We're back with another timely review. We conclude our (semi)-regular series (don't worry, we won't be gone long) with a review of the very first Indiana Jones movie, as we all prepare to dial into destiny in cinemas. Mike and D.K are joined by former Trek guest, our very own Sallah Mr. Steven "Browny" Brown. The trio will discuss whether 'The Big Bang Theory' is right that Indy has no bearing on the plot, dive into the controversy surrounding Marion's age, discuss James Bond comparisons, D.K's obsession with 'Young Indiana Jones', usage of religious iconography, brief comparisons to other entries in the franchise, the inspiration for 'Allo 'Allo, screwball comedy romantic chemistry and more. There's debate about which is the best of Harrison Ford's iconic roles, the best and worst Indiana Jones knock-offs, unconvincing background fighting and an attempt to settle once and for all which is the best film between this and 'Last Crusade'. Phew! All of that plus audience thoughts and our final conclusions and scores. Don't get caught digging in the wrong place for your Indy fix, join us here and listen to the thoughts of top... men (and Mike). Music by Timeless Journey.
