Supergirl (1984)

After Superman III came and went with a whimper in 1983, the Salkinds knew their Superman money machine was in trouble. So much so they were within a few years of making a deal with Cannon Films to take over the franchise. Yet they had one more play. A film that was in development even while Superman III was still in production. One that they were sure would bring a whole new audience to the DC property. Yes, they had Supergirl up their blue sleeves. Listen in as the boys return to the Superman property they started reviewing back in March, by going through the ‘off shoots’. Beginning with Supergirl and ending with a review of Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice (from Superman’s POV) Garrett, Matt, and Adam are going to be looking at all ways DC tried keeping this property alive, and then dive into what the future holds for the Man of Steel.
